Dentists

Dr. Angelika and her team are visiting Albania regularly. They examine and treat the students of Nehemia soup kitchen, private school and kindergarten, and patients in remote villages. A mobile dental unit allows the treatment of bedridden and/or disabled persons.

SITUATION

Public dental clinics are usually very badly equipped, often their only treatment is the extraction of teeth. Many Albanians have problems with their teeth, as dental hygiene and prophylaxis are often unknown. The careful treatment and hygiene lessons at Nehemia school show remarkable results: The students hardly suffer from caries any more - in great contrast to the majority of children in Albania.

PLANS
